It will solve Climate Change
Climate Change is all about, well-the climate changing. But with this superpower, the earth will be able to regulate its temperature, which would mean that the earth would stop heating/freezing. This would mean less extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, and record high and low temperatures.
It will stop sea ice from melting
With Climate Change solved, sea ice will stop melting. Sea ice is vital for the survival of many species, acting as birthing, hunting, and foraging grounds for animals such as polar bears, penguins, seals, walruses, and arctic foxes. With sea ice no longer melting, we can ensure the survival of these animals. Each one of these animals plays a vital part in the ecosystem, and even one animal going extinct can cause a whole ecosystem to collapse.
It will save lives
Extreme weather events, such as flooding, rain, ice storms, and thunderstorms are becoming more and more common. Every time floods, ice storms, and other extreme weather events happen, there is almost always some type of damage done. People can drown, get burned up, and be fatally injured. But with the superpower, we can ensure that these weather events happen less often, therefore, saving lives.
It will stop ocean acidification
Ocean acidification is the decrease of pH levels in ocean waters, making them more acidic. Ocean acidification causes coral reefs to have trouble building their shells and skeletons. This causes the coral to die. Coral is a vital species in the survival of an underwater ecosystem. Many different species depend on coral, such as fish, and jellyfish. With coral dying, the species that depend on coral will also suffer, and possibly die. This will especially affect the fishing industry. But with the superpower, we don't have to worry about the underwater ecosystem to collapse, or about fishing industries suffering.
